We are one of the seven research groups of the Genetics and Evolution of Infectious Diseases laboratory (involving researchers from CNRS and IRD and hosted in the IRD research center of Montpellier). We apply concepts of ecology and evolutionary biology to the study of human, animal, and plant infectious diseases. Our competences cover macroecology, community ecology, population dynamics, phylogenetics, comparative analysis, generalized linear models and our studies focus on such diverse organisms as fish macroparasites, HIV and measles viruses, bacteria responsible for the whooping cough and cholera, etc… Our research activity is at the crossroad of various disciplines and involves numerous national and international collaborations.
